Profile

I graduated  from Grays School of Art with a Degree in Sculpture in 1998. Having worked with a wide variety of materials; Bronze and cast metals, Mild Steel, Wood, Stone and Sound, I had the opportunity to learn the skills involved with dry stone construction, which furthered my Sculptural repertoir. After an apprenticeship with Norman Haddow in Crieff and surrounding areas through the winter of 2001, I set up Brimstone, my business based in Aberdeenshire in the North-east of Scotland dedicated to refining and redefining the craft of dry stone dyking.

Throughout my career I have created many projects and relish the challenges to both body and mind  that this medium has to offer. The possibilities are endless, incorporating Water and Fire. I can tackle all the aspects from design through to completion of projects.

I hope this site will inspire and encourage you to consider a dry stone project for yourself; timeless pieces that add to the landscape in an aesthetic  and Eco-friendly manner.
